I strongly agree that Essential Oils can be used for everything and should be part of your daily routine for good health benefits.

My Facebook friend and mentor has a great article on her website. Please click on the link  Harness The Power Of OilsTo Rock Your Day by to read about “Making Essential Oils part of your daily routine.” One point she made, and I agree that;

“However, the FDA (food and drug administration) nor the CDC (center for disease control and prevention) have studied EOs so they will not support any claims made about the healing potential of essential oils. The FDA has added certain essential oils to their list of Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) list.”

For me personally, I find the use of Essential Oils to be beneficial for my menopause symptoms. Even though I have struggled with menopause for eight years; some days are good and sometimes bad. The two things I continue to struggle with is anxiety and fatigue. It has me hating to leave the house, or my mood is really out of control.

The following oils come from many different plant sources and can often be found in their natural form. They’re also available in forms ready for immediate application, such as oils or creams.

  1. Clary sage – Help control hot flashes and osteoporosis
  2. Peppermint – Help control hot flashes
  3. Lavender – Help balance your hormones and control pelvic pain. Lavender can also promote feelings of relaxation and contribute to improving the quality of your sleep.
  4. Geranium – Help manage hormonal changes
  5. Basil – Helps control hot flashes and increase your estrogen levels or to help improve your mood,
  6. Citrus – Women who inhaled this essential oil experienced fewer physical symptoms and an increase in sexual desire. Citrus also has anti-inflammatory qualities, which may help with any aches and pains you may be experiencing.

Menopause is a time of radical change, but it can be manageable.

NOTE:
Before you use essential oils, make sure to research how to use. Follow the instructions, and always do a patch test on your skin before applying.

Speak with your physician or healthcare provider before using essential oils for menopausal relief. Your doctor will be able to advise you if the oils will have an adverse effect to medications that you may be taking. You also need to notify your doctor if you have any allergies, as some oils may contain potential allergens.
